Kenji Kato has been playing drums for 40 years, and teaching for 30 years.

He graduated from the YAMAHA Music  Academy in 1986, and was awarded a scholarship as a Drum Performance major at the

Berklee College of Music where he graduated in 1990. 

Kenji has performed with Grammy award winning artists such as Gary Burton, Merle Haggard, Larry Mitchell and others.

Kenji teaches drums to all ages, all styles and all levels. Some areas of teaching technique used are Stick Control, Reading, Groove, Drum Solo and more. Quarterly Student Recitals or Online Student Showcase  are a regular part of his studio to allow students the full experience of training and performance.
